De Victoriawatervallen zijn meer dan zomaar een waterval. Het is een gordijn van water van bijna twee kilometer breed, dat 108 meter naar beneden stort in een smalle kloof en een bulderend geluid en een mistwolk produceert die tot op 50 kilometer afstand te zien is. Peak Flow - Maximum Thunder

The Zambezi is at its highest. The falls are at full power - the roar is deafening, the mist is total. You will be soaked on the viewing path. The most dramatic time to visit.

Juni – augustus

Dry Season - Best Activities

Water levels drop enough for clearer views of the rock face. This is the peak safari season in Chobe. White water rafting at its best. Comfortable temperatures.

September – January

Low Water - Devil's Pool Open

The Zambezi is at its lowest. The falls are quieter but the views are clearest. Devil's Pool opens from August - swim at the lip of the falls, 108m above the gorge.

November – december

Green Season Begins

The rains begin and the landscape turns green. Activity operators are still running. Rates are lower and visitor numbers drop. A good-value window with fewer crowds.
