Yellow fever vaccination is only required if you're arriving from a yellow fever risk country. Otherwise, no vaccinations are mandatory - though we recommend consulting your doctor about recommended precautions.

Lightweight, neutral-toned clothing works best - khaki, olive, and beige tones blend into the bush and keep you cool. Layers are important as mornings and evenings can be cool even in warm months. We send every guest a detailed packing list after booking.

Every WildReality safari is a fully inclusive package designed so you can travel without worrying about what's covered. Included in your trip: all accommodations (lodges, tented camps, or beach resorts as per your itinerary), all meals throughout your safari (breakfast, lunch & dinner), airport transfers on arrival and departure, all ground transportation in a private 4x4 safari vehicle, national park and conservation area entry fees, and the services of your dedicated professional guide for the full duration. What's not included: international flights, visa fees, travel insurance, gratuities, personal purchases, and any optional add-ons. You'll receive a clear, itemised proposal before you book — no hidden costs, no surprises

Amerikaanse dollars, euro's en Britse ponden worden overal geaccepteerd in lodges en hotels. Als u Amerikaanse dollars meeneemt, zorg er dan voor dat uw biljetten van na 2006 zijn; oudere biljetten worden in Tanzania doorgaans geweigerd. Creditcards (Visa en Mastercard) worden op veel plaatsen geaccepteerd, maar niet overal, en er wordt vaak een toeslag van 3-6% gerekend. We raden aan om wat lokale Tanzaniaanse shilling bij u te hebben voor markten, kleinere aankopen en fooien. Alle lodges en hotels bieden geldwissel aan, maar de koersen variëren. Vertrouw niet alleen op creditcards.

De meeste routes duren tussen de 6 en 9 dagen, afhankelijk van de gekozen route en het acclimatisatieschema. Langere routes hebben een hogere kans op het bereiken van de top. Wij adviseren u de beste route voor uw conditie, tijdschema en ervaring, en regelen alle benodigde uitrusting, vergunningen en logistiek.

De dekking verschilt per locatie. De meeste lodges en kampen bieden wifi aan, hoewel de connectiviteit in afgelegen wildgebieden beperkt kan zijn. Veel gasten vinden dit juist een prettig onderdeel van de ervaring – volledig aanwezig zijn in de wildernis.

Yes - and we highly recommend it. Zanzibar is a short 20-minute flight from Dar es Salaam. You can fly in or depart from the island at the end of your trip, making it easy to combine bush and beach in one journey.

For the safari portion of your trip, our vehicles have limited storage space - one soft, duffel-style bag per person is strongly recommended. Hard-shell suitcases are difficult to fit and are best left at your Arusha hotel if you're carrying one. If your itinerary includes a flight between parks or to Zanzibar on a light aircraft, a strict 20kg weight limit per person applies, with a penalty charged for excess. Laundry service is available at most camps and lodges, so you really don't need to overpack.

Yes. Tanzania uses 220–240V electricity with 3-square-pin sockets (British-style). If your devices use 2-pin or US-style plugs, you'll need a universal adaptor - these are widely available in Arusha, and most lodges can lend you one from reception for a small refundable deposit. Note that some remote camps run on generators, which may be switched off between midnight and 5am and sometimes during the day. A portable power bank is useful to have on safari.

Tipping is at your discretion, but a widely used guideline is USD $10–15 per person per day for your safari driver-guide - more if your guide has gone above and beyond. Tips are best given in cash at the end of the safari when you say your goodbyes. For lodge and hotel staff, a 5% service charge is included in most meal bills and is distributed among the team. If a particular staff member made a real difference to your stay, feel free to tip them directly.
