Explore the vast, untouched landscapes of Ruaha and Nyerere National Parks, where the wildlife is wild, the views are endless, and the only other vehicles you’ll see belong to your group. Perfect for seasoned travelers, photographers, and friends who prefer raw adventure over rigid itineraries.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Dar es Salaam

Land at Julius Nyerere International Airport where your WildReality team awaits. After a short transfer to your hotel, regroup over dinner and prep for tomorrow’s adventure into the wild.

Accommodation: City-side lodge with a pool and laid-back vibe
Meals: Dinner

Day 2 – Drive to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

Hit the road early and journey through Tanzania’s rural south toward the expansive Nyerere National Park. This lesser-visited gem is almost the size of Belgium and teeming with wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch and a sunset game drive along the Rufiji River.

Accommodation: Riverside safari camp with panoramic views and elevated tents
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 – Safari by Land and Water

Experience a full day in Nyerere. Start with a morning game drive through open plains and woodlands — keep an eye out for wild dogs, lions, and giraffes. In the afternoon, take to the water on a private boat safari to spot crocodiles, hippos, and colorful birds. Few things beat watching elephants bathe at sunset from the water.

Accommodation: Same riverside camp with communal dining and sundowners
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 – Ruaha Game Drives + Predator Tracking

Set out early for game drives across Ruaha’s raw, open landscapes. Track lion prides, cheetahs, and leopards along the riverbeds. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of ancient trees before returning to camp. Evenings are spent around the fire with a cold drink and no light pollution in sight.

Accommodation: Same bush camp with open-air showers and fire-lit dining
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 – Explore Ruaha at Leisure

Choose your own adventure: more game drives, birdwatching, or another walking safari. You might encounter a lone elephant bull at close range, or watch as buffalo stampede across the horizon. The day is yours to explore at the pace your group prefers.

Accommodation: Same camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8 – Last Safari & Flight to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy one last game drive before your charter flight back to Dar es Salaam. Spend the evening in the city or opt for a dinner on the Indian Ocean coast to mark the end of your wild southern escape.

Accommodation: Comfortable lodge near the airport or beach
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
